GOAL Zimbabwe

Goal Zimbabwe is an International NGO promoting sustainable livelihoods and helping communities to build resilience to cope with adverse shocks and stresses that may affect their livelihoods. With a strong footprint in Manicaland, GOAL, has been focusing on strengthening the capacity of smallholder farmers to take farming as a business and to engage in meaningful partnerships with the private sector. GOAL promotes pluralistic extension approaches, market  linkages and helps communities to harness their local savings through Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSALs) inorder to mobilise resources for purchase of agricultural inputs. GOAL is implementing crop and livestock focused initiatives in Hurungwe, Buhera, Chipinge, Makoni, Mutare, Mutasa, and Nyanga districts. GOAL is currently the lead partner for the INSPIRE consortium in Manicaland under the Livelihoods and Food Security Programme (LFSP) being managed by FAO with funding from DFID.
